Our Mission

GY6F started in a community garden with 4 other families – now the farm is bringing “hyper-local” foods back to our community. As GY6F demand grows, so will GY6F! Our mission is to bring affordable, quality produce and products to our customers year-round.

DRDs GotYourSix Farm (GY6F) is a growing semi-organic farm providing the highest quality local produce and even some edible flowers to our community. We grow all sorts of household staple vegetables like root vegetables, leafy greens, herbs, legumes, other vegetables (tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers), berries, and salad blends. We also create custom spice blends and dehydrated delectables to make meal times exciting and fun.

Got Your 6 = Watching Your Back

Military members commonly describe directions using the hours of a clock. Whichever direction the vehicle, unit, or individual is moving is the 12 o’clock position, so the six o’clock position is to the rear. “Got your six” and the related “watch your six” come from service members telling each other that their rear is covered or that they need to watch out for an enemy attacking from behind.
